Black Utopia: Voices that Echo Resistance
Utopia Negra Amapaense is a non-profit organization founded in 2020, dedicated to uplifting the Black community in Amapá. We focus on socio-environmental justice, anti-racist education, and strengthening Black and peripheral identities in the Amazon. Our website serves as a platform to showcase our projects, campaigns, articles, and educational materials. We invite you to engage with us, support our initiatives, and contribute to meaningful change in our community.

Our fight is for justice, equity and resistance

History
Our History
Our collective seeks to promote debate on Amapá politics from a black perspective, valuing the history, relevance, power, and creativity of the black population in its various manifestations. We want to build a black Amapá political philosophy and practice that reflects on issues such as police violence, racial and social inequality, low representation in institutions of power, the role of whiteness in the local political structure, mass incarceration, school dropout rates that affect black youth, food security in bridge areas, as well as the violence and inequality that affect black women and the challenges faced by the black LGBTI+ population. In addition to these issues, we also seek to value and strengthen the black aesthetics of Amapá, its intellectuality, art, music, and traditional knowledge, reaffirming the richness of black culture in our region.
